David KwanDavid Kwan is a Principal at GC3 & Associates, responsible for the firm's investments and strategic planning practice within the media and technology sectors.
Previously, David was co-founder and executive vice president of PiNGPoNG Technology, a content management software company utilizing advanced AI techniques. David was instrumental in raising over $15 million in venture capital, building a team of over 60 employees, developing the company's strategies, forging partnerships, and leading marketing. David also worked in new product development at Kingston Technology, a $6 billion semiconductor manufacturer. David evaluated new ventures and guided product diversification strategies. As a product manager, he successfully led the launch of a new line of flash memory for the digital camera market.
David also worked as an independent consultant for organizations including SRS Labs and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, founded by Michael E. Porter. He served as an Academy for Educational Development fellow at the White House and was a researcher in genetics at UCSF and Cold Spring Harbor Lab, directed by Nobel Laureate James Watson. He currently serves on the executive advisory board of LezurTV.
David's academic contributions include articles in scientific journals, papers on science and tech policy, case studies for HBS Publishing, and course development for a second-year MBA class in organizational behavior at Harvard Business School. He has guest lectured at the UC Berkeley's Haas School and UC Irvine's Merage School. David completed his fellowship and graduate degrees at Princeton University and Harvard University and was previously teaching fellow the Harvard Business School.
